Each year the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers (TAAHP), a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization established in 1997 hosts the Texas Housing Conference (THC); Texas’ premier Housing Conference, the most exclusive gathering of Texas’ affordable and market-rate multifamily and single family housing providers. Year-in and year-out THC provides a great opportunity to network with a diverse group of people all invested in the multifamily and single family housing industry.
THC Quick Facts
- 2010 marks the 12th anniversary of the Texas Housing Conference; Texas’ Premier Housing Conference.
- THC 2010 will be held at Austin’s magnificent Four Seasons Hotel, located on Ladybird Lake in Austin’s famous cultural, central business and recreational district.
- Expected attendance at THC 2010 is 500+ (see Attendance by Service chart below).
- Conference participants are responsible for providing over 300,000 affordable multifamily and single family housing units in Texas alone and more throughout the United States using USDA, HUD, and Tax Credit programs.
- Regular attendance and participation of key Texas officials: both Administrative and Legislative.
- Regular support, attendance, and participation by the Governing Board and Executive Officers of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA).
- Conference partners range from affordable housing service providers to construction material and appliance suppliers.
- Over 20 educational sessions on legislative policies, sustainable design, market trends, financing, equity, compliance and construction related issues.
- Local, national, and international speakers.
